Just back from 25 miles and 3 Munros in Cairngorm NP. PacerPoles were great.
Walking on flat, they help push (not pull) me along. But, they also
did the
same going uphill. Someone on an earlier thread described it like pushing
on
the arms of a chair to help you get out of the chair. I got the reference
this weekend.
Also noticed that the poles work at a better angle on steeper slopes
than
'conventional' poles.
Fjallraven Classic 2006: Boelo ten Have
Thanks to the pacerpoles and the Exped Vega tent together, we -Team Tundra Tigers- got the gold medal in the Fjallraven Classic 2006. The poles were a big help in the steep uphill and downhill parts of the Kungsleden Trail.

Thank you very much for a truly amazing product. Have just completed The West Highland Way and Great Glen Way combined, carrying all our equipment with us, and couldn\'t have completed it without your poles. They help us immeasureably up, down, and along the long, long trail. Having never used poles before, but going on recomendation, bought a pair of 3 section poles each and have not, for even a second, regretted our purchase. Congratulations on a superb aid for backpackers and thank you once again.
